OPENING TALKS

Alongside the opening of our new exhibitions, artist Keith Bayliss and Sahar Saki will be sharing some of the ideas and inspirations that has gone into their recent work.

 

Both talks are free, and there is no need to book.

PROGRAMME

Artist Talk: Sahar Saki, 11.30am

 

International artist Sahar Saki will be talking about her practice and new immersive exhibition Persian Tour in Gallery 2.

 

Llantarnam Grange is the first stop on this tour, which will evolve over the year with four multi-sensory exhibitions across South Wales. Each tour seeks to transform the gallery in a joyous celebration of Persian cultural heritage.

In Conversation with Keith Bayliss, 1.30pm

 

Artist Keith Bayliss will be In Conversation with lecturer and curator Sally Moss, in Gallery 1 to discuss his practice and the work in his new solo exhibition Singing in Darkness.

 

Keith will reflect on his process of drawing and sketching as a starting point for making, sharing the ideas and themes in his two small bodies of work, Fields of Souls and Proserpina.

Opening Event, 12-2pm

 

Join us for the opening of our next set of exhibitions from 12-2pm, including the solo exhibition Singing in the Darkness by Keith Bayliss in Gallery 1; the immersive installation Persian Tour by Sahar Saki in Gallery 2; a group exhibition by graduating students from CSAD Ceramics in our foyer; and work from Vision Arts, an independent multi-talented group based in South Wales, in our Café.

 

Llantarnam Grange Café will be open from 9.30am – 3.30pm, with last orders at 2.30pm.
