Artist Meets

GALLERY 2
ARTIST MEETS
7 JULY, 5-7PM

Our next Artist Meets session is on Tuesday 7 July, 5-7pm

Join artist Bridie Doyle-Roberts in Gallery 1 to find out more about her work and immersive installation Spectrum of Sight.

Bridie is a multi-discipline artist based in Pontypridd. After training in Dance she founded Citrus Arts, a circus, dance and outdoor arts charity where she acted as Co-Director for 15 years. In recent years, following a diagnosis of a rare genetic condition that affects her sight, she creates sensory installation artworks with furniture, visual arts, sound and bilingual poetry. The work invites people to sit and experience in a sensory way, helping to make the work accessible to partially sighted people, like herself.

This will be followed with sharing work as a group. We encourage you to bring examples of any work you would like to share and discuss, whether it is in progress, the final product, or an initial idea / sketch.

Our 2026 Artist Meets programme is part of Llantarnam Grange 60, a year-long celebration of 60 years of creativity in Cwmbran. Funded by the Colwinston Charitable Trust.

Since starting in May 2023, Artist Meets has brought artists and maker together to share work, and offer support through talks on using social media, running workshops, approaching galleries, and thinking about the future of the arts in Cwmbran.

We will provide refreshments at each session.
