Our programme of exhibitions and showcases aim to support and inspire artists and audiences, sharing the work of visual artists and makers from across Wales, the UK and internationally. This includes leading and emerging creatives, with specific opportunities for nurturing new voices.

With work shared throughout our building, in our gallery spaces, foyer, café and meeting rooms, we aim to create a diverse programme that celebrates visual arts and craft.

We also have a programme of Touring Exhibitions with partner galleries, and a Permanent Collection, which we have been building for 55 years.

Art in the Café

A joyful community exhibition created an lead by Welsh-Persian multidisciplinary artist and craftivist Naseem Syed. Taking inspiration from Vincent Van Gogh’s iconic work, this project worked with people across our Be Kind to Your Mind arts and health programme to celebrate light, reflection and the power of community. Through colour and connection, each piece expresses joy, friendship, and resilience.

This project was commissioned by Wales Millennium Centre in 2025, inspired by the Welsh Premiere of Monsieur Vincent Virtual Reality experience.

Craft Showcase

Peter Bodenham is a potter and visual artist based near Cardigan. He creates ceramic vessels and sculptural forms through wheel‑throwing, extrusion, and hand building, making assemblages from plastic, ceramic pieces, and other debris gathered from the West Wales shoreline. The tidal zone, where land meets sea, becomes both his studio and his archive, constantly revealing and hiding material.
