SKETCHBOOK WORKSHOPS

SKETCHBOOK WORKSHOPS

Expressive Mark-making and Ideas with Keith Bayliss
Saturday 21 May, 10am-3pm

For Keith, sketchbooks are personal spaces containing the beginnings of ideas that have the potential to grow, becoming prints, paintings or constructions. In this workshop, he will start by leading you through the current exhibition The Sketchbook, discussing the various approaches artists have taken. He will then guide you through a variety of drawing media to explore the nature of making “sketches”, drawing to aid memory, and visual notes, leading to producing ideas on a theme that can be taken further to a finished work.

Please bring an A5 or A4 sketchbook.

There will be breaks throughout the day, and our café is open from 9.30am-3.30pm for locally-focused food, drinks, sweet treats and more!
