SUMMER CREATIVE ACTIVITIES
24 JULY – 28 AUGUST 2024

 

This summer we are running a series of creative activities for all ages and abilities! This will include Mindful Making, Create Sessions for young people, and Intro Classes for families and adults.

MINDFUL MAKING
WEDNESDAY, 10AM – 12pm + 1- 3PM

 

This summer we are running free drop-in Mindful Making sessions every Wednesday, 10am – 12pm and 1-3pm in our downstairs galleries. Come along to unwind and make at your own speed in a calm, relaxing space.

 

This activity is for young and old alike! Families, adults, and individuals welcome! Children need to be supervised at all times and aged 5 +

 

All materials will be provided.

 

Feel free to pop in for 10 minutes, or stay for a few hours.

YOUNG PEOPLE’S CREATE SESSIONS
TUESDAY, 10AM-12PM

 

Every Tuesday, 10am-12pm, we are running free Create Sessions for young people aged 8-13 in our Learning Room. Explore and have fun creating with different materials, techniques, and more!

 

Tuesday 6 August – Drawing Games
Experiment with continuous line drawing and other mark making games!

 

Tuesday 13 August – Paper People
Explore mixed media to create paper art dolls!

 

Tuesday 20 August – Inspirational Reminders
Use mark making to create memo cards for inspirational reminders

 

Tuesday 27 August – Illustration Ideas
Come up with illustration ideas and characters for children’s stories

INTRO CLASSES
TUESDAY, 1-3PM

 

Every Tuesday, 1 – 3pm, we are running free Intro Classes for families and adults in our Learning Room. Learn new techniques and get inspired with different materials with introductions to drawing, sculpture and more!

 

Tuesday 6 August – Rejigged Drawings

 

Tuesday 13 August – Maps and Making, with recycled materials

 

Tuesday 20 August – Small Sculptural Creatures

 

Tuesday 27 August – Plant Power, scan, print and draw to make images
