BANANAS – ED LEWIS

Bananas is an immersive installation by performance artist Ed Lewis that invites viewers directly into the Artist’s mind.
Through a humorous lens, this work offers a fantastical view of dealing with day to day thoughts and emotions. Driven by frantically constructed characters and chaotic ramblings, Bananas embraces nonsense as well as reflecting the desire to make sense of the silliness. It also reveals the dangerous line between coping using humour and using it to deflect deeper emotions.
Ed Lewis is a Welsh Artist specialising in Performance Art and Installation. He gained his MA in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts in 2021, and his BA (Hons) in Art at the University of Reading in 2020, and has shown work in Tbilisi and London, including Cookhouse Gallery and Saatchi Gallery.
There will be an opening in the gallery on Saturday 12 September 12-2pm, and the exhibition will run until the 21 November 2026.
