PAST PORTAL TALKS
22 NOVEMBER, 2-4PM
On the last day of our annual graduate exhibition Portal, we will be welcoming past exhibitors Beth Leahy and Matthew Lintott back into the gallery. In two short talks, they will reflect on their work and changes in their practices since graduating.
If you would like to come along, please book a free place via Eventbrite.
Some of this event will be taking place on our first floor. Unfortunately, we do not have disabled access to this floor.
BETH LEAHY
Beth is a painter who was part of Portal in 2022, and her exhibition Hope and Loss is currently on display in Gallery 2. She is fascinated by the identity that we create for ourselves and how this can differ and weaves into those created by the external factors in our lives. Beth takes this further, observing and considering how these perception affect the ways we relate to others.

MATTHEW LINTOTT
Matthew is a visual artist who exhibited in Portal in 2021. With a specialism in woodcut relief printmaking, he takes inspiration from myth, symbolism, and a geological perspective, in an exploration of deep time and space.
We will be touring his new solo exhibition Modern Relics from 2026, and bringing this to our gallery in 2027.
