This summer we are running 6 weeks of creative activities for all ages and abilities! Each week focuses on a particular material, way of making, or theme.

Families, adults, and individuals welcome. Activities range from 5+ to 8+ so please check your session before you book. Children need to be supervised at all times.

All Tuesday sessions have limited spaces and pre-booking is essential. Please note that the morning and afternoon session are the same, so select one slot when booking.

WEEK 4: TEXTILES

Explore textiles through embroidery techniques and felt!

Tuesday 11 August, 10am-12pm and 1-3pm

Couching – Discover couching, an embroidery technique that makes simple marks or line-drawn images on fabric. This slow textile practice catches thicker, weighted threads that lie on the surface of fabric with a stitch in a thinner thread. Explore altering textures, colours, and stitches to create your own line work and patterns.

Children need to be supervised at all times and aged 5 +

Learning Room* – Book a free place here.

Wednesday 12 August, 10am -12pm and 1-3pm
