WORDS ON WOMEN: TUESDAY 8TH MARCH 2022

60 minute sessions at 10am, 1pm and 3pm
Free, limited spaces

Share your thoughts and stitches and contribute to a growing artwork in the gallery. For her exhibition, Criminal Quilts, Ruth Singer is inviting women to stitch words into a collective artwork. Words on Women is inspired by the official, negative language used to describe Victorian women in the prison system. In this workshop you can explore some of the language used in the past and some still in use today. Using simple stitching techniques, add positive and negative words of your choice to this collective artwork. Materials provided.
